My favorite Band
Hey there! I hope you're doing great this semester.
Today I'm going to write about my favorite band, Beirut.
Beirut is an American ''band'' and Zach C. is his singer when he's not playing the trumpet. This is really not a stable band, it is just Zach paying to random musicians to play some songs with him when he wants to do music. His music combines some touches of indie, rock, folk and circus styles, and also uses many different instruments - sometimes they are not even instruments, just random things that can make some noice - that can really provide a beautiful song.
Despite this music almost all the time is kind of sad, I believe it has its magic. My favorite song of all is ''In the Mausoleum'' when you can hear like ten different instruments and it still sounds beautiful (they even play ''drums'' on a watermelon). In this song, the sound of the violin is my favorite.
Another of my favorites is ''Postcards from Italy'', and I really love the video because he shows his holidays with his family (in a very low quality by the way) and how they enjoyed those moments, without faking a thing, having so much fun. I admire this lyrics and I want this song to be played at my funeral.
Finally, I really love to listen ''Beirut Cheap Magic Inside'' (2011). I don't think that is cheap magic, on the contrary, if you can appreciate it I hope you found very expensive magic. I would love you to hear one of Beirut's songs, but try to avoid it for a bit if you are sad right now. If you are not, you will be after you hear one (just joking, or maybe not).
Let me know if you hate it or love it! this is the link of ''Cheap Magic Inside''. I really hope you can enjoy it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f6TCjgeD8Us

My chosen family
Well fellas, today I’m going to write about my best friends from my city town because they’re awesome.
We first met when we were on 3rd grade of high school in Temuco. I was at the same class with 3 of them, David, Alfred and Uzi, because we chose the humanist program. One day with them I saw some dude screaming “I’m chocman-man” with a box of chocmans on his head and a piece of something pretending to be a sword. He was my friend’s friend, Giovanni, and that day he became my friend too, he was the italian one of the group. Our friendship is the best thing of my life.
On our first year out of high school I decided to study law in Temuco, David and Alfred wanted to study psychology in Temuco as well, Uzi wanted to study agronomy also in Temuco, and Giovanni wanted to study mechanical engineering in Valparaíso. However, Alfred wasn’t able to study psychology, and Uzi left his studies on his first day to get a fly to Middle East, we haven’t seen Uzi since 2018. I also left my law studies in the first semester. Only David and Giovanni were able to follow what they wanted to study.
Next year I started to study political science in Santiago, and Alfred started studying social sciences. Giovanni didn’t like his university, so now he’s studying in Santiago too.
I love spending time with them because we laugh the entire time, and also because we are a family. They are my support, sometimes advisors, sometimes my kids, and I really miss hanging out with them because the social distancing. I hope this pandemic ends soon to see them again. Here we are, Gio, Alfred and me :)

Carretera Austral 2019
I'm from Temuco, and I went to Aysen on February 2019 for two weeks. I traveled with my family - mom and dad - by car, and on the first day we arrived to Argentina. We stayed in San Martin de los Andes and had dinner in front of the Lacar Lake. The next day we traveled to Bariloche to lunch, later we drove to El Bolson - a very tiny and hippie city -, we slept there and the day after we traveled to Chile.
In Chile, we camped on Futaleufu, a beautiful town surrounded by forest and a river. The next day we arrived to Puyuhuapi, and I think that place is smaller than a tiny town. We slept there 2 days in a cabain in front of the sea. I met 3 Palestinians and we drank mate on the pier.
Next day, we went trekking in Queulat National Park to see the Ventisquero Colgante, a waterfall on a glacier. I loved to see so many Chucaos, a beautiful jumping bird.
After that, we went to Coyhaique, the largest city in Aysen, and we didn't like it because there was too many people and traffic, so we drove to Puerto Rio Tranquilo. The road was horrible, I mean, there was no road, just a dirt road. So we drove like for 5 hours from Coyhaique to Puerto Rio Tranquilo, but it was worth it. We camped again, and the next day we sailed to see the Marble Chapels, a beautiful landscape on General Carrera Lake, a lake that Chile shares with Argentina. In Puerto Rio Tranquilo I met an Argentinian who traveled with his dog, and we drank mate, and later I met some backpackers from Santiago and we had a small party.
The next day we went to Coyhaique again just to lunch and we drove to Puerto Aysen, another beautiful city, and we slept there. I loved Puerto Aysen! it was so quiet and full of trees that I would love to go again.
The next day we went to Chaiten and we bake some bread because there was no supermarket or any place to buy it. We stayed there one night and in the morning after we had to sail to Puerto Montt, our next and almost final destiny. We sailed for 8 or 9 hours and it was a beautiful view! but we hate Puerto Montt because its ugliness and also because is too boring. We ate some completos, that was the best part of Puerto Montt.
Finally, we drove to Temuco. I think that travel was probably my best holidays because I had fun with my family, we had never been there before and the landscapes were amazing. I loved the Chucaos and camping, and I love cold places especially in summer. I would love to go there again, but by plane because driving was exhausting.
